Clothes are often used to show the amount of money, confidence and power someone has, especially in hip hop. Artists will usually be seen in clothes that could be considered as winter wear, as it is usually baggy clothes like hoodies and jeans. Paired with this, is any number of accessories ranging from shades to chains. These also help to show the wealth and achievements someone has gained.

After researching the kinds of accessories hip hop artists wear, I have decided I will include a snapback, a ring and a set of headphones. I want my artist to be able to connect with other people of the same age group, who may not have a lot of money which is why I have decided not to include masses of expensive jewelry. I have decided to use the snapback as it is very common people of my artists age group wear them, whether it is to look sporty or like a hip hop artist. I have also decided to include one ring because I still want him to look like he is a successful artist. Lastly, I will include a pair of headphones to stamp musicality onto my magazine. Even though I hope to achieve a musical look for my magazine through the use of colours, layout and images, adding a pair of headphones will make it even clearer to the audience what kind of magazine I am creating.
