Target Market Analysis

I have chosen my target market to be 16-20. Hip hop is extremely popular with young adults, so I know the magazine I create will appeal to my chosen target market. In addition, if my magazine was to be sold, I know my target market would be loyal customers as they are at the age when they get pocket money/ money from a Saturday job.

My Target Market

My target market either fell into the “Urban” category or the “Aspirant Mainstream” category. This shows my target market aspire to be like the artists they listen to, as the majority of hip hop artists will most likely fall into the “Urban” category. In addition, it shows my target market are quite "edgy" and confident with their looks and personality. Coming under the "Urban" category means my target market are heavily influenced by their surroundings, which includes music and artists their friends listen to.
